Current Context: Union Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman launched the Mission COVID Suraksha.
For this mission, the GOI has inducted Rs 900 crores.
The inducted amount will be utilized for the research and development of COVID-19 vaccines in India.
The Mission COVID Suraksha is one of the parts of a stimulus package of worth Rs 2.65 lakh crores.
Also, FM made an announcement to induct Rs 10,000 crores for PM Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana with an aim to increase employment.
